Subhas Chandra - saga of an Indian nationalist

  The time when India became independent and it was proclaimed that Gandhi's non-violence and non-cooperation movement concluded a few years before the year of proclamation of independence by the colonial rulers, millions of eye were raised as for the bisection as also to know that the leaving force were not bothered by the alternative revolutionary and armed struggle.  As decades passed, and countries began to declsssify the documents, the skeketons began to come out of the closed archives (though many are yet to see the day of light and many are perceived to be destroyed to protect vested interests.  Yet the the distance between the truth and hypocrisy of the stakebolding powers are getting  narrower.  Therefore, history of a nation is being rewritten for the interest of the future generation and for their right to know the w Indian colonial struggle 1757 AD to 1947AD.

mora It is not well known that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee played a pivotal role in getting whatever little recognition our government accords to Subhas Chandra Bose today. As far as back as Pandit Nehru's time, Vajpayee showed keen interest in the controversy surrounding Netaji's disappearance. In the late 1960s he supported the ef forts mounted by Prof Samar Guha to settle this issue as well as make the ungrateful government acknowledge the role played by Netaji to make India free. In Parliament, Vajpayee was often seen sitting with Guha and Amiya Nath Bose, Netaji's nephew. During the Emergency, Vajpayee and LK Advani were locked up in the same jail as Guha, who, as per Advani's recollections, used to talk about Bose all the time. Post Emergency, Vajpayee became India's foreign minister. Making good use of his contacts in the Janata government, Guha managed to do much for Netaji's legacy.
